Cementitious Spray

Definition

Cementitious fire spray is a protective coating of cement and additives that is sprayed onto structural surfaces to insulate them and delay heat and smoke transfer during a fire. It provides durable, non-toxic fire resistance, helping steel, concrete, or timber maintain their integrity without altering the structure.

Gundog Spray LTD only use MONOKOTE due to its history of test data and reliability.  The Monokote production range of MK6HY, Z106HY, and Z146 have been applied in the UK and Europe since the early 90's. It is a fast setting fire resistant plaster for structural steelwork and concrete decking that can achieve up to 4 hours fire protection.

Increasingly, GCP Monokote is being specified for the refurbishment of concrete and clay pot soffits, due to its fast installation and its ability to achieve fire protection ratings of 30, 60, 90, or 120 minutes depending on the applied thickness.

Acoustic Spray

Definition

Acoustic fire spray is a fibrous coating sprayed onto surfaces like ceilings to provide overall noise reduction to buildings by absorbing energy instead of reflecting it. The reduction depends on the product and thickness and can be modified to suit your building needs. This can also be a spray with fire properties to align with the building's fire compartmentation requirements and fire strategy.  Most Acoustic spray products are available in factory colours of white, light grey, black and eco grey or by applying a colour paste to achieve any desired RAL colour.
